Temperature ratings of sleeping bags

There are three different specifications for the temperature specifications for sleeping bags:

• Comfort temperature T comfort This value is calculated for a "standard woman" (25 years, 60 kg, 1.60 m) who is not yet freezing.

• Limit temperature T limit This value is calculated for a "standard man" (25 years, 70 kg, 1.73 m) who is not yet freezing.

• Extreme temperature T extreme This value is calculated for a "standard woman" (25 years, 60 kg, 1.60 m) exposed to severe cold. There is already a risk of hypothermia here.

The value (comfort value T Comfort green area) should serve as a guideline when buying a sleeping bag.
